What is the duration of an Elf Bar's lifespan?
The duration for which an Elf Bar lasts is contingent upon the individual vaping habits of the user. An Elf Bar 600, based on our in-house experiences, lasts a full day for intense vapers and extends to two to three days for intermittent users. The Elf Bar BC5000, touted for its 5000 puffs, will last about a week for heavy users and up to two weeks or even more for occasional vapers.
The longevity of each Elf Bar model, of which there are 27 and still increasing, depends on the puff count of the chosen model and the frequency of vaping. Further down, we've included a comprehensive chart detailing the different Elf Bar vape devices, their respective puff counts, and the estimated duration of each, contingent on user habits.

What does 'puff count' signify?
A disposable vape's lifespan is typically measured in puffs. Each disposable vape will be advertised with an estimated puff count, indicating the number of times you can draw vapor from your disposable vape. For instance, a vape with a 600 puff count should roughly translate to about 600 inhalations, or draws, from that device.
However, it's important to bear in mind that puff counts are not exact figures and their measurement or estimation can vary from one manufacturer to another. Based on our experiences, puff counts can be slightly overstated, whether intentionally for marketability or due to the assumption that most vapers draw lightly. Consequently, if you're someone who takes long draws from your Elf Bar vape pen, the actual number of puffs you receive may be less than the number advertised by the manufacturer.
Detailed Puff Counts for All Elf Bars & Their Respective Durations
The chart below provides a detailed overview of all available Elfbar vape models (at the time of writing), their respective puff counts, and the anticipated duration of use for different vaping styles.
It's critical to note that the data below is based on our team's collective vaping experiences and average puff count estimates for different vaping styles. We used the highest available nicotine strength as a standard, so if your vape has a lower nicotine strength, anticipate fewer days of vaping as you'll likely vape more frequently.
Please bear in mind that the chart doesn't factor in the potential exaggeration of puff count numbers. Therefore, to be on the safe side, we suggest deducting a day from the lower puff count models and at least two days from the larger ones.
How long do Elf Bars last?
How do we categorize casual and heavy vapers?
Given that we're calculating based on the highest available nicotine strength, we've classified a heavy vaper as someone who takes 300 hits per day (approximately one hit every three minutes for 16 hours per day). For casual vapers, we estimated about 50 hits per day—roughly three hits per hour. The average vaper should fit somewhere within that spectrum.
The actual number of hits will vary from individual to individual. For example, if you vape only once a day or during work smoke breaks, your Elf Bars should outlast the above estimates.
Do Elf Bars and other disposable vapes have an expiration date?
Elf Bars, if stored in a cool, dark environment away from direct sunlight, have a shelf life of up to two years from the date of manufacture, provided the battery hasn't died. The only component in an Elf Bar that can expire or deteriorate is the vape juice.
Although technically e-juice can spoil, its deterioration doesn't resemble that of food. Vape juice (including nicotine salt) is considerably stable. It might change color and become brown over time, but this doesn't necessarily mean it's expired. Generally, e-juice lasts as long as its first ingredient to "expire", which is typically up to two years from the date of manufacture.
If your device tastes unpleasant or isn't functioning properly, it's advisable to discard it and replace it with a new one.
How to determine if your Elf Bar's battery has depleted or the device is empty?
When the Elf Bar disposable needs charging or has run out of vape juice, its indicator light will flash. Please note that not all Elf Bars have rechargeable batteries. Refer to the above chart to verify whether your device is rechargeable.
The charging duration varies for each Elf Bar model. As a general rule, the charging time ranges from 30-90 minutes, depending on the mAh rating of the Elf Bar and its degree of depletion. Devices with lower mAh ratings require shorter charging times, while those with higher mAh ratings require longer. The average charging time for a 650 mAh device is approximately one hour.
How to recharge your Elf Bar
Similar to most contemporary electronic devices, Elf Bars are charged via USB-C ports. The plug for USB-C charge cables is symmetrical and oval-shaped, differing from traditional micro-USB cables which have an asymmetrical shape with one flat side that always seems to be inserted upside down on the first try. USB-C cables are inserted correctly on the first attempt.
For all Elf Bar rechargeable disposables, a visible USB-C port can usually be found, most often at the bottom of the device—this is not to be mistaken for an airflow hole.
Elf Bar disposables, however, do not come with a charging cable. At this point, most individuals have USB-C charge cables readily available. If not, these can be easily acquired from any electronics store, or even gas stations and drug stores.
As previously mentioned, charge your Elf Bar like any other small electronic device. All vapes, including Elf Bars, are powered by lithium-ion batteries. Exercise the same caution as you normally would when handling small electronic devices with batteries and their respective power sources.
